Hannah Hopkins, LCSW
Hi, I’m Hannah. I love music, and in my spare time I love attending concerts or theater performances. I am a huge fan of The Great British Bake Off, and enjoy recreating recipes from the show for family and friends. Nature and fresh air ground me, and taking a walk around my neighborhood is a must throughout the week. An avid reader, I’m most inspired by writers with a passion for social justice.
My calling and purpose is working with children and families, in part because I know that early intervention for children is so impactful for our collective future. The ideas and values of child development pioneers like Fred Rogers and Dr. Garry Landreth form the foundation of my approach, and I truly believe that healing and growth are possible for everyone. It is my goal to make each child and adult that comes into my office feel seen, heard, and understood.
I attended the University of Louisville for my Masters in Social Work, and interned at Family Service of Roanoke Valley working with children and youth in both community and outpatient settings. I have worked in agency and private practice settings with children and families, and have received training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay, Child Parent Relationship Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am so excited to help your family reconnect and enjoy one another again.
