Hannah Hopkins, LCSW, RPT™

Hi, I’m Hannah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Registered Play Therapist™, and parenting coach. My calling and purpose is working with children and families, in part because I know that early intervention for children is so impactful for our collective future. The ideas and values of child development pioneers like Fred Rogers and Dr. Garry Landreth form the foundation of my approach, and I truly believe that healing and growth are possible for everyone. It is my goal to make each child and adult that comes into my office feel seen, heard, and understood.

I attended the University of Louisville for my Masters in Social Work, and interned at Family Service of Roanoke Valley working with children and youth in both community and outpatient settings. I have worked in agency and private practice settings with children and families, and have received training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay, Child Parent Relationship Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have also completed Training for Adoption Competency through the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.).

Outside of work, you’ll find me sweating it out in hot yoga, baking a new Claire Saffitz recipe, volunteering somewhere in the Roanoke Valley, or diving into a good book. That is, when I can fit those things into my schedule - like you, I’m a parent working to juggle it all and take care of myself at the same time!

I am so excited to help your family reconnect and enjoy one another again.
