Individual Play Therapy

Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is an evidence-based treatment that holds the central idea that play is the language of children, and the relationship between the child and therapist is the primary vehicle for healing. Your child and I will spend about 45 minutes together weekly in the “special playroom”, where the toys serve as the child’s words, and they have the opportunity to play about their feelings and worries. During this time, I will reflect their feelings, set limits, and support independent problem solving and esteem-building.

Parent/Child Attachment Therapy

This process begins with an attachment assessment where I observe you and your child completing a variety of simple tasks together. Using the play-based medium of Theraplay, I work with you and your child together to support and strengthen healthy attachment-building over four domains: Structure, Engagement, Nurture, and Challenge. This method is particularly effective with young children, and can help you and your child strengthen your mutual trust and connection!
